Maintenance

The multiple coat paint treatment on YACHTING panelling products comes with a 10-year warranty. This 10-year period is guaranteed for West- and South-facing panels, which are particularly sensitive to the elements, and panels that are less highly exposed should last even longer.
Choosing light colours will also contribute to the life of the paint coating, given their resistance to thermal shock and their greater reflectivity than dark colours. After these initial periods, the cladding can be washed and repainted with acrylic paint, applied with a brush or spray gun, to restore its original appearance. This renewal coat should be applied before the coat has decreased too much, in order to ensure adhesion to the backing. Following this repaint, YACHTING panelling products will regain their initial appearance.
In particularly damp locations, for North-facing surfaces or seaside locations, surface must, like an old mould growth and other deposits may need to be removed by gentle scrubbing with a brush and water, to avoid these growths detracting from the initial finish. High-pressure spray cleaning systems should not be used, nor should inappropriate cleaning products. South-and West-facing cladding panels should be cleaned every 5 years with soft water and a gentle soap product, using a sponge or soft brush.
