Fitting Cladding Panels

PRIOR TO FITTING A waterproof film must be fitted (the only exceptions are for watertight walls or foamed concrete walls). Please refer to French Standard DTU 41.2 on external wood coverings.
>TO FIT HORIZONTAL PANELLING ONLY Fitting on slats Firstly, attach treated slats 27 x 60 mm vertically to the walls, spacing them a maximum of 40 cm apart. Attachments are ring threaded stainless steel, aluminium alloy or protected by sherardizing (galvanized). Securing the panels1 anchor point 12 mm in from the edge of the tongue and hidden by the overlap. The cladding must be attached 20 cm above ground level.
Joint between 2 panels Joint profile to be placed about half-way between 2 slats. Fit the panel in the joint moulding leaving a slight gap for expansion.
Corners Use the finishing accessories available for the Pacific range. The cut ends of the panels must be painted (cf. Matching Multiwood stain colours). |
